ASE Medical offers a unique blend of emergency care consultation, ambulance-style urgent and emergency attendance, and home health care services. Our tailored, personal approach ensures that you and your family receive the highest quality of care from clinicians who are familiar with your history and your individual needs, and who treat you with privacy and dignity at the heart of all they do.

We aren’t here to replace statutory services; what we offer is an enhanced, private alternative, which guarantees you will never have to wait hours to be seen if statutory services are experiencing high demand.

Your Local Alternative

ASE Medical is a pioneering provider specialising in urgent and emergency care solutions. Our paramedic-led team, overseen by specialist Consultant Doctors, have years of frontline emergency service experience. This, coupled with additional training and skills in primary care, ensures that we are able and ready to provide you, your family or your organisation with the care you need, when you need it most.

It is important to acknowledge that, although our clinicians have an enhanced array of skills and assessment techniques, we are first and foremost an urgent and emergency care provider. Our service is not designed to replace or supplement the care given by your GP or other primary care provider.

Operating Area

Based in Reading, in the heart of Berkshire, we will initially cater to clients in a roughly 20-30 mile radius. Our main inclusion criteria is that all new clients are accessible from our base of operation within a 1 hour window (at normal road speed).

As our operation grows, we intend to offer our services to a wider client-base, but we are passionate about perfecting our offering at a local scale, before we consider expansion.

Ambulance Services

One of the key tenets of our service model is to avoid unneccessary hospital admissions at all costs. We do this for several reasons, we;

- want to minimise stress to the individuals we treat, and find the most comfortable and safe outcome for them

- aim, wherever possible, to reduce unneccessary pressure and demand on hospital Emergency Departments

- strongly believe that alternative care pathways can often produce better long-term results for the patient

- have reviewed NHS statistics around patient conveyance vs discharge on scene, which supports a growing understanding that in the majority of ambulance call-outs, hospitalisation is not the right or best outcome for the patient

That said, we are mindful that there will be times when an admission is necessary, and for these patients we will arrange for conveyance via ambulance in the time frame most appropriate for the patient’s presentation.
